About

Rooted in Tradition. Crafted with Care.

Bhagvati Orna began with a simple purpose: to preserve the tradition of shakha and pola while offering brides and families products they could trust.

Our journey started with a single counter on Bowbazar Street, Kolkata, where generations of families came to us for their bridal bangles. Many of our customers were introduced to us by parents and grandparents who had trusted our craftsmanship for decades.

From the very beginning, we believed that quality starts with responsible sourcing. Rather than relying on multiple intermediaries, we established direct relationships with the skilled carving families in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. This allowed us to maintain consistent craftsmanship, reliable sizing, and fair, transparent pricing.

8 Years of Trust

Over the past 8 years, Bhagvati Orna has grown from a small Kolkata counter into a trusted name serving customers across 460 cities.

While our reach has grown, our approach to sourcing has remained unchanged.

We continue to work closely with the same skilled families who have been involved in crafting our conch bangles for years. Their experience, craftsmanship, and attention to detail are an important part of what makes every Bhagvati Orna piece special.

Quality We Stand Behind

Every set goes through a careful inspection process before it reaches our customers.

Each piece is checked twice:

  • First, for the quality and precision of the carving
  • Second, for the finish and gold detailing

Only after completing these checks is the product carefully packed for dispatch.

We believe that traditional craftsmanship deserves modern standards of quality control. That is why we take responsibility for every product that carries the Bhagvati Orna name.

Direct Sourcing. No Dropshipping.

Bhagvati Orna is not a marketplace. We do not operate through anonymous third-party sellers or dropshipping networks.

Our products are sourced through established relationships with skilled artisans and are carefully inspected before being sent to our customers.

This direct approach helps us maintain greater control over quality, authenticity, craftsmanship, and consistency.

Our Promise to You

We understand that bridal jewellery is more than a purchase. Shakha, pola and traditional bangles are deeply connected to important family occasions and cherished memories.

That is why we believe customer service should be simple and straightforward.

If your bangle arrives damaged or cracked, simply send us a photograph on WhatsApp. Once the issue is verified, we will arrange a replacement.

No complicated process. No unnecessary back and forth.

For us, 8 years of trust means taking responsibility for what we sell.

From a single counter in Kolkata to customers across hundreds of cities, our philosophy remains the same:

Traditional craftsmanship. Direct sourcing. Honest pricing. Quality you can trust.

What we stand for

Our Promise

Authentic Materials

We use genuine conch shell and traditional coral lacquer wherever specified. If a product is made from laminated, polymer or other alternative materials, it is clearly described as such — never presented as genuine shell.

Direct from Artisans

Our products come directly from skilled carving families with whom we have built long-standing relationships. We value their craftsmanship, agree on fair piece-based pricing, and keep unnecessary intermediaries out of the process.

Made for Everyday Wear

Shakha and pola are not simply ceremonial pieces — they are meant to be worn and cherished every day. We pay close attention to smooth inner edges, comfortable finishing and durable detailing, so each piece is made with everyday wear in mind.
